When I and Nishchit started AICamp, our goal was pretty straightforward—to make AI accessible to businesses that needed it the most, the ones that didn’t have the massive budgets or in-house AI teams. We built AICamp for small and medium businesses, hoping to level the playing field. But as we’ve grown, so have our customers. With that in mind, I’m excited (and honestly, a little nervous!) to share AICamp v1.0 with you—a release designed to not just support but empower teams in organizations of all sizes. So, here’s why we made the shift and what’s new.
Why the Shift? It’s All About Growing with You
Over the past months, we’ve watched AICamp help small teams become AI-first, but we’ve also seen those teams scale. Their needs changed. Suddenly, people were asking for more flexibility, more control, and better ways to manage their AI across departments. We listened, and this release is the result.
We didn’t just build this because it seemed like the next logical step in our product roadmap. We built this because you—our customers—needed it. A growing business requires a structure that scales, and that’s exactly what AICamp v1.0 delivers.
What’s New in AICamp v1.0?
Let me walk you through the updates we’ve been working on:
1. Workspace is Now Organization
We heard from teams managing multiple departments or projects that they needed a more centralized structure. So, we’ve turned Workspaces into Organizations. Think of it as your company’s HQ on AICamp. Each organization now comes with a default team, but you can easily add more as your company scales.
It’s all about making collaboration smoother, more intuitive, and, most importantly, scalable.
2. Custom Team Addresses
This is one of my favorite updates. Now, each team within your organization gets its own custom URL, like https://app.aicamp.so/{org-name}/{team-name}. It makes jumping between teams and projects a breeze. No more getting lost in the shuffle of multiple workspaces—everything is right where you need it.
3. A New Admin Portal
We’ve made it easier for Org Owners and Admins to manage everything in one place. With the new Admin Portal, you can configure settings, manage team members, and handle AI resources all in a single, user-friendly dashboard. It’s designed to give you more control without the complexity.
4. Migration for Existing Users
If you’ve been with us for a while, we haven’t forgotten about you! All your previous data (chats, prompts, assistants) have been moved into your new default team. We’ve also added the ability to assign multiple admins, so managing your growing team just got a lot easier.
5. AI Providers at the Organization Level
Here’s where things get really powerful. You can now set up AI models (think GPT-4, Claude, Gemini) at the organization level, but configure them for each team individually. That means marketing can use one model tailored to their needs, while engineering uses another. It’s all about giving each team the tools they need to be AI-first in their own unique way.
6. Web Search/Internet Browsing Plugin – Google Integration
And last but definitely not least—our new Google Web Search plugin. This lets you bring real-time web data into your AI workflows, perfect for research or gaining insights on the fly. It’s been a game-changer for teams needing current information in their decision-making processes.
